Embark on a grand adventure with Aurora's 2022 world cruise. This roundtrip voyage will take you to iconic destinations around the world with pristine beaches, historic sites and glittering cities throughout. Between destinations, relax and enjoy the amenities offered onboard the Aurora as you sail along. Overnight stays in cities such as Honolulu, Sydney, Tokyo and Dubai offer passengers the chance to delve into the local culture and further explore these select destinations.
Set sail in Southampton and spend a few days at sea getting to know the ship as the Aurora makes its way to the Canary Islands to call at Tenerife. Cruise on across the Atlantic Ocean to Caribbean waters to make port in Barbados for a taste of British colonial history. Curacao is next, then it's on to the Panama Canal. Take in the view as the ship navigates the lock system to reach the coast of Mexico. Call at Huatulco and Cabo San Lucas, before sailing on to make port overnight in San Francisco, California.
Here the ship will set out into the Pacific to reach Honolulu where an overnight stay provides guests the opportunity to witness a late night luau or enjoy a leisurely walk to Waimea Falls Park for a bit of cliff diving. Sail on from there to cross the International Date Line and head to the South Pacific. Make port in paradise destinations such as the Samoa Islands and Fiji, then it's on to the shores of New Zealand. A visit to the Sky Tower is a must with an overnight in Auckland, and a call to Tauranga offers the chance to experience traditional Maori culture and watch geysers erupt. Call next at Bay of islands, then overnight in Sydney, Australia. Relax along the Sunshine Coast in Brisbane or go on a shopping spree downtown and see the Botanic Gardens.
Sail away from Australia to Papua New Guinea for a visit to Rabaul, a picturesque coastal town with a sheltered harbor and rolling volcanic cones. Continue north toward Japan where you will overnight in Tokyo. Tour the Imperial Palace grounds, visit the Meiji Jingo - a famous Shinto shrine, or ride to the top of Tokyo Tower. From there it's on to Kagoshima for a more tropical experience. Next up, overnight in the energized city of Hong Kong, then continue on to call at Singapore for a multicultural experience with historical influences from Britain, China and Japan.
The journey continues through Asia with a call to Kuala Lumpur and Penang in Malaysia. These two destinations offer many traditional attractions such as the Snake Temple and the famous "Blue Mosque", and provide an impressive mix of modern structures and historic districts. Colombo, Sri Lanka is up next, then spend a few days at sea as the Aurora makes its way to the Middle East. Overnight in the city of Dubai and feast your eyes on the impressive structures like the Burj Al Arab Hotel. Visitors should also be sure to make a trip to the Spice Souk for a bit of bargain shopping, or enjoy a camel ride through the desert.
